Game Design Document

Hi there!

Welcome back to the blog. This is a very exciting blog post. It is about my fully formed GDD {Game Design Document}. A Game Design Document is a fully thought out version of last weeks blog post on my final game idea. Here you will see all the creases or errors I made last week to be ironed out. This is my official game idea which will help you all to understand and visualise what the final game will be through character and game design/style, game rules modified and perfected, storyline enhanced and so much more just. to make the game concept perfect. I will keep adding to this as the game develops more so you will know exactly how my game works. Click the link below to find out more.

Enjoy!

  1. Hey Ellen I love the idea of your game! There's very few games marketed specifically to kids, so yours is a definite intrigue! A game that teaches kids how to solve puzzles and how to get better at their subjects is something that would be very popular, especially with how technology is being brought into schools nowadays. The game rules were a bit confusing to understand, but the commands made it much clearer. Timmy will have a fun time going through the various levels, and I'm sure you will meet your main goal without difficulty!

  2. Hi Ellen!
I wasn't able to access your final GDD link but I wanted to see what your game idea is. I really like the idea and how it will help kids with learning difficulties. Your layout is this game design document is good with lots of detail and I'm sure your final GDD has a lot more. Enjoyed reading your GDD and look forward to seeing your final project.

  3. Hi Ellen I really liked your game design document. I like that you made it specifically for younger users. I like that you want to implement puzzle solving into your game. The lightheartedness of it appeals to me because there are not a lot of games being made that are for kids these days. I think the layout and information is very relevant in the GDD. I also think your character choice was very good and relates to the younger users who will play it.
